FAQ’s

What on Earth is Breath Work?!

Breath Work is the use of breathing exercises or techniques to intentionally change your breathing pattern. You can think of the breath as a messenger between our body and our nervous system, by consciously changing the way you breathe you can consciously change the way you feel. Many people use Breath Work to improve their mental and physical wellbeing.

How do I know if it’s right for me?

There is a breathing technique to suit everyone’s needs. Whether you need more calm in your life, more balance, more energy or just a good night’s sleep! You can read more about breath work in my blog. Or why not book a free consultation with me to find out more. Book here.

What does a producer do?

The role of Producer means slightly different things in different industries. I work mostly in the arts, and mainly as a small scale theatre producer. In this role I will either be contacted by an artist with an idea who needs to plan and fundraise to deliver a new show, or I will be contacted by an Arts Organisation who has a show that they need help delivering. In some cases I will come up with an idea and reach out to artists and creatives to help me realise it. In all of these cases I will create a budget and help to raise the money needed, recruit the cast and crew, plan and manage the project, oversee delivery and evaluate the process and outcomes at the end. I often say producers are the first to arrive and the last to leave a project.

What is an engagement producer?

Engagement is a term that refers to the people who will experience a particular project. So that might be the audience for a theatre show, or passers by at a street performance. An engagement producer’s job is to make sure the project they re working on reaches people who would not usually engage in that type of activity. For example this might mean taking a theatre show to a local community centre, creating a show for deaf or disabled audiences, inviting local people to participate in a show or adapting a show to be taken into schools. I am really passionate about engagement producing because I feel that absolutely everyone should have the opportunity to experience arts and theatre.
